FAQ

Are you licensed and insured?

Absolutely. We are FAA Part 107 Certified commercial remote pilots. This means we’ve passed federal safety exams and operate legally in the National Airspace. We also carry $1M in aviation liability insurance specifically for drone operations, protecting both your property and our business.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the shoot?

Safety and image quality are our priorities. If we have high winds (typically 15 to 20+ mph), rain, or low visibility, we will reschedule at no additional cost to you. We monitor weather apps 48 hours in advance and will keep you updated so there are no surprises.

Can you fly at night?

Yes. Our drones are equipped with anti-collision lighting as required by the FAA for night operations. Night flights are perfect for capturing the “glow” of a resort, city skyline, or a high-energy evening event.

Can you fly indoors for my business/event?

Yes. We utilize specialized “CineWhoop” drones—small, lightweight aircraft with protected propellers (ducts). These are designed specifically to fly safely near people and around expensive equipment, allowing us to get those immersive “fly-through” shots without the risk of a traditional drone.

Will the drone be loud and distracting?

For ceremonies or quiet environments, we use “Low-Noise” propellers and fly at a higher vantage point to remain as “invisible” as possible. For FPV fly-throughs, there is a buzz, but we coordinate with your team to ensure it only occurs during the active filming window.

How long does a typical shoot take?

Most residential or small commercial shoots take 60 to 90 minutes on-site. For large-scale construction progress or complex event coverage, we may be on-site for a half or full day. We aim to be as efficient as possible to minimize disruption.

How do I receive the files?

We deliver all high-resolution assets via a secure cloud link (such as Dropbox or WeTransfer). You’ll receive folders organized by “Social Media Ready” (vertical) and “High-Def Cinematic” (horizontal) formats for easy uploading.

Do I need to get permission from my neighbors or the city?

We handle the “Airspace Authorization.” As a licensed pilot, we check the FAA’s digital grid for any flight restrictions. If your property is near an airport or in restricted airspace, we file the necessary LAANC authorizations to ensure you can fly legally. For neighbors, a courtesy “Notice of Filming” is always a good idea, which we can provide for you.

Who owns the rights to the footage?

Upon final payment, you will receive a full commercial-uselicense. You can use the footage across your website, social media, and advertising indefinitely. We typically retain the right to use the footage for my professional portfolio unless we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
